About Me

I attended British Boarding Schools from the age of 9 to 18, and then studied Biology followed by an education qualification and then a Masters in Education, all at King’s College, London University. I worked at Sevenoaks School from 1987 to 2022 as a Biology teacher, a Boarding Housemistress, the Sixth Form Registrar and, for the past 14 years I have been Director of Admissions. I was responsible for the recruitment and assessment of 240 students joining the school each year at ages 11, 13 and 16, and I am used to working with students from many different cultural backgrounds, and with a wide range academically, including students with Special Educational Needs. I am known for my friendly, approachable yet organised style, and I find helping young people to achieve their potential, and to find a school where they will flourish, extremely fulfilling and rewarding.

Help with University Entry

I am experienced in supporting young people through their Sixth Form careers, inspiring and motivating them to develop their interests, and helping them to write a personal statement which accurately presents their strengths to the universities they aspire to join. Families can opt for a one-off session, or up to 10 sessions between January of the Lower Sixth and October of the Upper Sixth.
